How much does Camp Cadet cost?

There is a $25.00 registration fee.  All other expenses are covered by donations and sponsors.

When/How can I apply?

The application period will be announced on the website.  It usually opens 4 months before the start of camp.  There will be a form to download, print, and fill out.

How old do you have to be?

Eligible boys and girls must be at least 13 years old and not over 15 years old by June 1, 2019 and in good physical condition.

Where do I have to live to attend?

Our program is open to residents of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York Counties.

Where is camp held?

South Central Camp Cadet is held on the beautiful campus of York College in York, Pennsylvania.

Can I visit my child at camp?

Being this is a week-long overnight camp, visitors are not permitted.  Photos and videos will be posted throughout the week on this site and our Facebook page for you to "check in" on your camper.

What happens after I apply?

After mailing the application and required fee, you will receive a confirmation letter containing information about the Cadet mandatory orientation.  Please allow time as applications are processed weekly.  If you do not receive a letter by May 1st, please send us an email.

When is my check cashed?

Payment processing is done on a monthly basis.  Please allow 6-8 weeks from the time of application for your check to clear.

When is the application deadline?

The application and the check or money order must be received by April 30th.

My applicant just had a physical, do I need to get another one?

The medical form needs to be signed by an Attending Physician.  The decision for a new physical exam will rest with your doctor.

Do I have to attend the Cadet mandatory orientation?

Yes.  All applicants must attend the Cadet mandatory orientation to attend the camp.
